A Leader in Seniors’ Housing

• Green Acres Foundation has been providing affordable homes for independent senior citizens in Southern Alberta for over 40 years.  Today we are the third largest provider of seniors’ housing in the province.

• In 2005, we were selected to participate in an audit of the standards in seniors’ accommodations, completed by the Auditor General’s office. We were the only organization in the Province found where no deficiencies were cited.

• Representatives of the Green Acres Foundation are active on various committees and associations throughout the province.

• We have representatives on the Provincial Health/ Housing Committee and the Southern Homes Association Executive.

• We have a representative on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Senior Citizen Housing Association, a provincial organization that advocates on behalf of senior citizens.

• All Green Acres Foundation facilities have successfully passed the provincial Supportive Living Accommodation Standards Review process.
