Green Acres Foundation maintains Assisted Living (Designated Supportive/DSL4/4D) Lodge Residences that provide our residents with a continued active lifestyle while offering personal care support on a 24-hour basis for seniors requiring more care than a standard Retirement Lodge or a Supportive Living (DSL3) Lodge. The Designated Supportive Living program is a partnership between the Foundation and AHS; residents must be assessed and referred by an AHS Home Care Case Manager and meet our eligibility criteria prior to residency approval.
Seniors who require assistance with their daily living activities and have more complex medical needs may be comfortable in an Assisted Living Lodge, where on-site Health Care Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses provide the necessary support and care in a residential setting. Services may include meal assistance, two-person or mechanical lift transfers, and medication administration. Secure units are also available for seniors with moderate to severe dementia who may have a high risk of wandering.
