October 18 is Health Care Aide Day. We appreciate the care that our staff provide for our residents every day!

Meet two of our many awesome health care aides, Genna and Ganga!

Genna

  1. How long have you worked for Green Acres Foundation?
    2 years

  2. Why did you choose to become a healthcare aid/work in healthcare?
    I like to make a positive impact on peoples lives and helping them feel better. It’s very fulfilling.

  3. What is the most rewarding part of your job?
    Friday fun pattern scrubs day. The seniors love all the different patterns, it creates conversations and smiles. It gives the staff something to look forward to, specially if we have had a hard work week.

  4. What do you enjoy most about working with seniors?
    Everyday is a different day, you get to hear life stories and meet so many friendly people.

  5. Health Care Aide Day is October 18. Is there anything you would like to highlight on this day?
    We are hard working selfless individuals trying to make an impact on residents’ lives.
    Care staff are the back bone to any care facility.

Ganga

  1. How long have you worked at Green Acres?

    4 years

  2. Why did you choose to become a health care aid/work in healthcare?

    I enjoy helping people.

  3. What is the most rewarding part about your job?

    Being able to assist the residents to maintain their independence and dignity.

  4. What do you enjoy the most about working with seniors?

    Listening to their stories from their life experiences.

    How great the care staff is! I love my job.
